There are just some nights that I do not feel like cooking. No matter how much I have prepped, or meal planned, or grocery shopped the weekend before, sometimes when friday (or even monday!) hits, there is just no way I am getting in the kitchen to cook. As I’m driving home from work on one of these nights, I do that mental game of weighing the effort it takes to cook with the mostly unhealthy or expensive options there are for a pre-prepared meal. I know that you mamas know what mental game I am talking about!
Whenever we do order pizza, I always order from Papa John’s. They really are my favorite pizza delivery option in the area! Now, Papa John’s has made pizza more guilt-free with it’s ancient grains crust option! This new crust is made of ancient grains, including Sorghum, Teff, Amaranth, and Quinoa, and is gluten free! It’s a healthier alternative to one of my favorite treats!
As Christopher and I prepare to go out of town for two weeks on our honeymoon (more on that later), we are working overtime during the week to get everything ready to go during some of our busiest months of the year! Last Friday, I was absolutely exhausted from another long week and even though I had planned to cook, it just was not going to happen. I ordered Papa John’s online and figured we would give the new ancient grains a try. I really could not tell much of a difference at all and Elliott gobbled it right up then asked for seconds, which is usually unheard of around here!
