Well hello there blogging world! I’m finally getting around to recapping my 4th of July!
Sometimes I have all these great intentions of blogging every day or at least scheduling some posts and that just doesn’t happen. Oh well!
I had an unexpectedly wonderful 4th of July this year! I actually didn’t have any plans until early that afternoon. A friend from church, Christine, invited me over to her place for a cookout with some other people from church. Her fiance made some awesome burgers for us and we just generally sat around talking and playing with sparklers!
It was his first sparkler!
Once it started getting dark, we all headed over to Briar Creek to watch fireworks. I can’t remember the last time I actually went somewhere to watch fireworks. I had such a great time with everyone!
If you look at that top picture, you’ll see the girl in the teal top holding those giant sparklers! Those things were seriously the best! They lasted for a good, full minute! We had so much fun with them and the people around us got a kick out of us acting like we were 10 again ๐ Best $2 I’ve spent in a while!
{I’ve found my very WORST angle lol}
{blurry but its the only pic of Christine and me}
{Christine thought they made great light sabers/wands/swords}
{We also had glow sticks – we came prepared!}
Then it was time for fireworks. I tried to snap some pictures which of course made for some crazy pictures but I got a few good ones too!
{My favorite!}
If you missed fireworks or just love them as much as I do. Here is the grand finale from the show ๐
