Wow! What an interesting weekend it was!
Everything I had planned went out the window at about 1 p.m. on Friday afternoon when I was informed that there was already someone camping out. This was way earlier than I expected or planned for and so my day was thrown upside down until I got to the chapel and found out that this person had just put a chair out with a sign on it and wasn’t actually sitting in the chair 24/7.
About the same time, I realized that the date I had originally wanted and planned for wasn’t going to be available because the chapel was not doing weddings that weekend because it will be Alumni weekend at Duke. As you know, I already had a hold placed for that day with our reception venue so I spent the next 30 minutes frantically trying to find out if/when our reception venue had an opening. Thank goodness the people at Bay 7 are so nice and helpful!
So we ended up picking a new date and have gotten everything squared away with the chapel and the reception venue. But, I’m not going to reveal the day here on the blog quite yet! I’m going to keep it a secret until we hit the one year mark! Don’t worry, you won’t have to wait too long at all! However, if you are dying to know, you can “like” the Carolina Fireflies facebook page where I’ve already posted the date.
Here are a few pictures from the weekend!

That is so exciting! The chapel looks absolutely incredible. Have you become addicted to oncewed.com yet? That was my go-to wedding blog back when I was planning.
